People who are familiar with Bittorrent and torrent hosting sites must be familiar with the site The Pirate Bay. With a cool Google-like uncluttered interface, the site offers wide range of torrents from movies, games to what not. While most other torrent sites like Isohunt, Torrentbox have been sued by the MPAA, TPB seems immune to the whole affair. There was an interesting article on the Wired about this. Read it here.

Among the site’s most popular downloads are recent Oscar nominees and winners like Closer and Brokeback Mountain, Steven Spielberg’s Munich, the latest Harry Potter film and even stinkers like Underworld: Evolution and The Pink Panther. The article makes a great read. It tells you about the piracy laws in sweden and the anti piracy community which is trying to bring the site down. Its a little long but its worth the time.
